Tiki shopping in Cleveland

Laura DeMarco of Cleveland.com published a handy guide to shops carrying tiki merchandise in Drew Carry’s favorite city. Mentioned stores include:

Flower Child, 11508 Clifton Blvd., Cleveland: Cleveland’s best stop for all things retro, kitschy and mid-century. You’ll almost always find a large selection of vintage Tiki barware, clocks, wall decor and even furniture.

Suite Lorain, 7105 Lorain Ave., Cleveland: “The” vintage department store is a fertile finding ground — 8,000 square feet — for Tiki masks, mugs, fabrics and even whole bars.

This Way Out, 15711 Waterloo Road, Cleveland: Rock fans know this vintage store tucked under the Beachland Ballroom is a retro treasure trove. Polynesian finds include barware, coasters and other knick-knacks.

Something Different, 1899 West 25th Street, Cleveland: Raise a glass to the Tiki gods with one of the multi-colored retro mugs from this chic, upscale gift shop, perfect for that after-work Mai-Tai .¤.¤. or Blue Hawaiian .¤.¤. or Zombie .¤.¤.
