Director Mark Chervinsky spent four years on and off with Shag, the acclaimed ex-graphic designer turned fine artist whose work is filled with 1960s idolatry: tikis, go-go girls, and 6-wheeled ATVs. The result is Sophisticated Misfit, a 60-minute look into the artist’s life and work, featuring celebrity collectors and proponents of tiki culture.
