Pedro Ramirez “Tiki Village” painting

Archie McPhee Ramirez oil paintingIt’s not entirely clear if Pedro Ramirez is one person, a collective of sweat-shop artists, or just a massive prank—but Archie McPhee is selling his/its Tiki Village oil paintings.

These are actual oil paintings, done in mass quantities (usually in editions of 1000) by Pedro(s). Each 22″x19″ framed print is signed and numbered by the artist and has a small metal plaque attached with the name of the piece on it.

The painting is reminiscent enough of the cover of the Book of Tiki that it would work well as part of a home tiki bar decor. If you’re not well-off enough to own an original Shag, you can probably afford one of these $99 paintings, at least.
