More incredible Enchanted Tiki Room merchandise coming in April!

Enchanted Tiki Room drummerMy head is spinning, and for once it’s not because of a poorly-made Mai Tai!

DisneyShopping.com (formerly the Disney Store) will be releasing another wave of Enchanted Tiki Room merchandise to celebrate Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary in April. The first two brought a bunch of neat stuff, including a reproduction of the hosts’ aloha shirts and a life-size barker bird. Very cool.

This time they’ve outdone themselves by creating full-size reproductions of the attraction’s tiki drummers pulled from the original moulds, painted in the 1963 color scheme. Limited to 1000, the drummer is different on each side (so of course, you’ll need two!). This is got to be the coolest thing ever—a little slice of Rolly Crump for your home. $179.

They’re also coming out with a green version of the aloha shirt (along with a dress too). $99 each, edition of 500.

Oh, it’s going to be an expensive April.

  1. I’d like to ask about a track in the 16:38″ “Lanai BGM Loop” you mention. In advance I apologize if I have missed this because I bet there is something out there about this track.

The track starts 9:43 into the “Lanai BGM Loop”. It is a very lush piece that begins with violins and harps and is 3:21 long. The steel guitar comes in around 21 seconds into the song and the harp weaves in and out throughout. Violins jump back in around one minute into the track. It has been around on various down load sites for years.

I would love to get a high fidelity copy if the album if it is available. Almost sounds like 101 Stings production.

    Tom
