Beachbum Berry explores “Potions of the Caribbean” at Hukilau 2008
Jeff “Beachbum” Berry may be America’s foremost expert on classic tiki drinks, tirelessly researching 70-year-old recipes by tracking down the families of the bartenders who worked at the country’s most famous establishments. Jeff has appeared at the Hukilau event in Ft. Lauderdale for the past couple of years, but this time he has added a new twist — discussing and mixing drinks served at Caribbean resorts inspired by Polynesian cocktails. “Potions of the Caribbean: Lost Cocktails From America’s Postwar Playground” will be held on Friday, June 13 from 3:30-4:30PM. $25, or included with the “Big Kahuna” pass.
