For the past couple of years, the arrival of Spring has also meant the arrival of cheap but attractively-styled tiki merchandise at Big Lots! stores. This year’s crop has arrived, and what it lacks in quantity over previous years, it makes up in quality.
The biggest (literally) item is the return of last year’s plaster garden statue obviously styled after Pele in Disneyland’s Tiki Gardens outside The Enchanted Tiki Room (photo to come). Standing nearly three feet tall it retails for $30.00. According to the plan-o-gram left out in the aisle, stores may only get one each of these, so they’ll sell out fast.
Other items worth getting are cylindrical, 10-inch tall carved votive candle holders in three styles for $8 each and 8 inch diameter planters in three neutral colors, also $8.00 each.
